We just returned from a fantastic stay at the park, which was well-maintained and family-friendly. The lodge we stayed in was clean and comfortable, providing great value for the money. However, the dining service could use some improvement as it was a bit slow, and there was a noticeable lack of cheer from the staff.

Rooms

The 4 berth Platinum lodge was beautifully clean and spacious, complete with an en suite bathroom and a powerful shower.

While the service was generally fine, the bar and restaurant staff seemed a bit miserable, which affected the experience.

The park facilities were great overall, with a clean outdoor pool that the kids enjoyed despite the cool weather.

I had quite a mixed experience at this park. While I really enjoyed the beautiful setting and spacious areas, I did encounter some issues with noise and cleanliness. The park has a great potential for family fun, but the amenities and service during my stay could use some significant improvements.

Rooms

We stayed in a glamping pod, which was a unique experience. However, noise from neighbors made it hard to sleep, which was quite disappointing.
Service
5.0
The staff seemed overwhelmed, and my interactions felt a bit chaotic. I encountered some rude comments from the bar manager, which left me feeling frustrated.
Location

The park is set in a lovely area surrounded by hills, which is definitely a plus. It’s close to town, making it convenient to explore.
Dining

I enjoyed the food we had, especially the nachos and chips. The restaurant was a nice spot to grab a bite, but I did notice some limited options during late hours.

Facilities like the toilets seemed neglected during my visit, with issues like lack of soap and cleanliness not being up to standard. It was disappointing given the lovely setting.

The park has a lovely and quiet atmosphere, with essentials available on-site, and the outdoor pool is great for families. However, the cleanliness of the facilities could be improved, and I had issues with the location of my caravan, which affected my overall experience.

Rooms
6.0
The caravan itself was modern and spacious, but it had a concerning cleanliness issue with dead flies around.
Service
7.0
The staff was apologetic and responsive when I reported cleanliness issues, but I felt that the overall service could have been better.
Location

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, but my caravan was poorly positioned next to debris from a previous unit.
Dining

The pub on-site offered delicious food at a reasonable price, which was a highlight of my stay.
Facilities
5.0
The park had decent amenities, but the state of some facilities could use attention, particularly the chemical waste disposal.

I had a wonderful stay at the park, with clean and spacious accommodations that exceeded my expectations. The outdoor pools were well-kept and inviting, but they could definitely be warmer as claimed. While the dining options were delicious, the service felt a bit slow at times. Overall, it was a great value for the money, ideal for families looking to explore the nearby town.

Rooms

The hive we stayed in was bigger than I thought, equipped with everything we needed including a kitchen and enough space for four people. However, the sofa bed was a disappointment as it wasn't comfortable at all and made sleeping difficult.
Service
7.0
The restaurant and bar staff seemed a bit understaffed, which slowed down the service, but the food was cooked quickly and came out beautifully.
Location
9.0
The park's location was fantastic; just a short drive to Appleby village which had nice shops, cafes, and dining options.
Dining
8.0
The food at the restaurant was lovely, especially the homemade pizzas. However, I found it a bit inconvenient that they only accepted card payments.
Facilities
7.0
The outdoor pools were clean and well-kept, providing a great spot for relaxation, but they could use better heating.

We had a decent experience overall, starting with a super deluxe pitch that was quite nice. However, we did face some challenges with the shower facilities and encountered some litter around the site. The shop was well-stocked and the entertainment for kids was a nice touch, making it family-friendly. Yet, the limited usable showers and the overall cleanliness of the facilities were significant downsides for us.

Rooms
6.0
The pitch we had was decent-sized, though the superior plus pitch seemed smaller than expected, especially when trying to fit everything.
Service
7.0
The staff we interacted with during check-in were polite and helpful.
Location
8.0
The site is nestled in a quiet area, close to Appleby and Penrith, which made for lovely walking routes.
Dining
Facilities
5.0
The facilities, particularly the showers, were a notable letdown. They felt outdated and lacked functionality, and there was visible litter around, which made the environment less pleasant.

Poor shower facilities
